- Bellerose

-   89th Avenue Street Haunt

Website N/A
Builder Seamus Keane, Joe Natale, Kyle Earley
Address 247-19 89th Ave Bellerose, NY 11426
Description The haunt started last year just as an excuse for friends to get together, barbecue, and then scare the local trick or treaters. It has turned into something a little more. The block is now closed off with proper local permits for the entire day. Our house is decorated with a home built graveyard, mud monsters (courtesy of Davis Graveyard How To), toe pincher coffins, bucky skeletons, and a few mannequins. There are between 5-8 actors in professional costuming from CFX and the haunt or the scares don't happen within the property line so much as out in the street and up and down the sidewalk. This year we are trying to raise money and canned food donations for Long Island Harvest.

Website N/A
Builder Paul Cavaretta
Address 5710 Kippen Dr., East Amherst NY
Description This was a first year haunt, but I was pleased with the outcome. Having been out of work since February, I have entirely too much time on my hands. I started out building a cage from lathe to hold an unmodified Blucky. I already have Blucky on the bench bench waiting to be enhanced. I then moved on to build a graveyard. Built mainly with cheap store bought stones, I modified a few to make them look a little more authentic. I built a fog chiller and customized a headstone to disperse the fog. I just bought a 4x8 of blue foam and a Hot Wire Foam Factory tool to start making my own tombstones. I also had a 10' web with large spider, and I built a lightening machine from a kit. It works great, and was so easy to build. I started on a FCG just before haloween, but did not get it done until after. I am Very pleased with it. I made the ghost a little different than most, painting the head black. It looks like there are just eyes floating where the head would be. I also built panels that install over my ground floor windows that look like boarded up windows. Too many people thought I actually boarded up my windows. I am pleased with my year one progress, and can't wait to see what year two brings

Description This years theme evolved out of a love for lazers from last years' haunt, and an honest need for more lighting. From Haunted Pirates 2009, Mad Movie Monster Labratory & Charlie Browns Pumpkin Patch 2010. WE WELCOME ALIENS THIS YEAR!!! Yes, they have crash landed in my yard, and who knows, what will be crawling around loss or chained, what has escaped from a cell or stasis chamber?? Volunteers on our crew pride themselves in creating a haunt to terrify all ages. When asked what do you want for next year, they said MORE SCARY! This years feature includes: high powered strobes, fog machines, lazer vortex, laser light show, simulated crash scenes, high powered sound, ULFS, pneumatics props, simulated gunfire, tunnel walk, blood and special effects make-up, more live actors, pneumatics actor props, misters, blacklighting, and much more. We also have a tame haunt display in my backyard for
little ones since this year will be ramped up even more. We decided to seperate them a front and back. Stitch and a few other kid friendly aliens may stop in to say hello. We are a CRAZY bunch brought together for fun, frolic haunting and charity.  Last year we had over 3000 people visit our haunt and gave out boatloads in candy.  This year we decided are giving back; our first charity events so far have raised $186 for the local food pantry, and sent 2 bags of coats and household goods to a local needy family. Progress Log: We are working on costuming, minor props, and building piece by piece spacecraft. Video feeds are coming along nicely, and our Pneumatics/Lighting/Computer Guru is hanging in there building every day. Our electricians, prop masters, and actors are hard at work preparing your scare, alongside all the crew as the months dwindle down. *Some of our crew live as far away as Virginia* Check out our webpage and links to our YouTube for videos of our past haunts, and ideas/ how-to builds for haunts. If you are local we would love to meet and greet, & we are always looking for volunteers to come out and have fun, BBQ, and scare!!

Description After leaving the garage (part 1) of my haunt you must walk to the old carraige house deep in the back yard. The walk alone is enough to scare you. Part 2 is a seanse in a creepy 2 room house that is truely haunted. Doesnt look like your average haunt, no silly decorations or stupid animatronics, I use live actors who are all part of my family and we time everything to lights and music which I create on my digital recorder. The soundtrack is very loud and effective.

Description What started out simple has evolved into an event. Our Home Haunt or "Yard Haunt" consists of several pneumatic pop-ups, lighting and sound effects. I began making homemade props about 13 years ago. It started as a friendly decorating competition between neighbors. Now all the neighbors are at our house at the end of the night. You know your haunt is successful when groups of trick-or-treaters cross the street a few houses down, trick-or-treat the other side of the street and cross back to your side when they have safely passed!
