- Davis Graveyard
Website www.davisgraveyard.com Builder Chris & Jeff Davis Address 8703 SE 43rd Avenue Milwaukie, OR 97222 Description How does one become obsessed enough with Halloween to dedicate months of time, hundreds of dollars and the better part of their home to the transformation? It all started over a pizza with friends. We love Halloween. They love Halloween. We've always wanted to do a haunted house ... so have they. And faster than you can say "trick or treat" the plan is hatched. Next thing you know, you're spending every available minute at their house, transforming the garage, driveway, front yard and living room into a walk-through haunted house. Fun for you, scares for everyone. From this initial haunt, the 1031 Club was born. Year two began in July, planning new ways to scare and delight friends and neighbors. After months of work, "Bad Dreams On Oleander" was in full howl by Halloween. It's here that our story moves north - 2,000 miles north, to be exact - to the Pacific Northwest. And while we're no longer there, photos and letters tell the story of how the 1031 Club haunt has grown and grown, with waiting lines now three hours long. Fast forward a few years later when we purchased the house we live in today. From the moment we laid eyes on the yard, we knew its destiny was that of the ultimate Halloween cemetery. It took several years to bring the dead and dying to life, but the dream has become a reality. For the past nine years (more or less), we have created a creepy crawly yard haunt that has attracted people from all over the Portland area. HHA FORUM ID
